@seosean Afaik some states force their electors to vote for a candidate, other don't.

This is missing one VERY important piece of data. The electors do not have to vote for the candidate who received the most votes. The electors have the choice to choose who they believe would be the best choice. Your votes only tell them who you suggest they vote for! Pretty crazy!...

Very good guide indeed. But I still think that popular vote method is better and more fair (Bush vs Gore or Hayes vs Tilden). My questions to Americans: 1. Do major candidates even bother to visit 3-elector states like Montana or North Dakota?2. I heard that in a few years Southern states will gain many electors because of the population rapidly rising. Wouldn't it completely mess up tha balance between two leading parties?What do you think?
