Funamentally, gripping something is similar to gouging someones eyes out in terms of gesture, arm movement and thumb position. Gouging an eye just takes it to an extreme.

In other words: LOBBYING.

No, that's just a Hispanophobic cliché. A simpleness characteristic of a Tom Cruise movie (i.e. the beginning of Mission Impossible II).Actually, there is a more accurate (and restlessing) symbolism: $cientology building is surrounded by Madrid's Athenaeum, the Congress, and several business buildings. That is, intention to influence on culture, education, politics and economy.

Hopefully this will open up the Spanish people's eyes on how dangerous Scientology is.

thanks for posting. scientology is fairly new to Spain and the Spanish folk don't seem to realise that it is not a religion. Scientology is classed as a religion when it is just a business/cult

Those poor children and there brainwashed parents. Those kids will be affected for life. The mind of the young is able to absorb and retain far more information than we are able to do as adults. They are having their lives stolen from them right in front of our eyes.

They seem to utilise the concept of 'failing' significantly - even when they were introducing the so-called personality testI mean, how does one 'fail' a personality test? Isn't personality subjective, just varying from person to person? It seems to me they're trying to make you think there is something wrong with you, so they can pretend to help. For a fee, of course.

Most scientologists do not know about these abuses. Scientology manages to create an isolation between its members and the outside world that acts as an effective barrier to information. When confronted with such abuses they will simply dismiss them as false.Unfortunately after sufficient time within the cult structure the victim will ven grow to view such abuses as justified and neccessary for the 'common good'.

The last part about the use of child labour during the preparations for Tom Cruise's visit made me angry. All the special treatment that celebrity Scientologists receive are gleaned from virtual slave work. Yet people like Cruise have the nerve to say that Scientology is "ethical". I'm totally disgusted. Why aren't more ordinary Scientologists upset that there's no equality within the church membership? How is it possible to foster a sense of community with such elitism entrenched? |
