That mother should be ashamed of her self. Even now as I watch I cry... then I think, she just may have been better of with her grandparents who loved her. Her life with her mom may have been the one to hold her back! The shy Carolina girl has become like my favourite Mississippi girl! Right up there with the big guns! Faith Hill (Mississippi Girl), Reba, Kelly Clarkson, Kellie Pickler... need I say more....?

I know this is about your little girl, but it can also be your little boy. Have dealt with that and it's so sad because they know dad was never there, what a loss for any child.... death or leaving (desert) when the only thing a son wants is his real father to love and accept him.

Such a rare occasion to hear songs with actual meaning to their lyrics anymore. Takes real talent to write about something useful.

Not a big country fan but this song has touched me deeply....love how she was so vulnerable in writing it and singing it....her mom missed out on someone amazing!

When this song came out..I broke down in tears because it speaks to all adoptees and the question that is constantly in their minds...wondering....always wondering if the person who gave them up ever thinks and wonders about them as much as adoptees think about them. It is a beautiful song and she was so courageous to share it on such a big stage....from one adoptee to you Kellie, thank you for this song. It touches many deeply!!
