@tkdkadir Also, I've meet so many African grays are the quietest birds when someone comes over. If you socialize them and introduce them to new things all the time they'll be more willing to talk in front of people. Here's the facebook to some amazing bid trainers who have helped me a lot w w w . facebook . com / birdtricks

@tkdkadir African grays can develop phobias and become very nervous. Make sure to introduce something new everyday, even if it's just a note book or other small item, or putting a new chair in the room. Also if you harness train him you can take him places with you, let him meet new people and see new places but make sure to start small, like a walking around out front a little with him. Start before he gets older and it becomes even harder.

@McTaggStar Totally agree. It's time people realized that this earth is not made especially for humans; we're not inherently "better" or "higher" than any other organism. This is what the theory of evolution and common descent shows and while some might find this view of life disturbing, I find it deeply intriguing and beautiful that we are connected to all life on the planet.

@tkdkadir there was a trainer on here dunno if hes credible or not but he suggested introducing as many new things to the parrot as possible maybe toys, activities, songs, words etc and they wont seem so timid hes on here somewhere but again his theories not mine so cant say its gospel truth. |
